ASUS recently announces a new server board DSEB-D16/SAS, the next-generation 45nm Intel Xeon 5400/5300/52005100 processor ready platform with the green design of 90%+ power efficiency. Featured with leading-edge technology including FSB 1600MHz, FB-DIMM 800MHz, PCI-Express Gen2 x16 and IOAT2, the DSEB-D16/SAS is the most out-performance server board which is ideal for enterprise-class and computing demanding applications. Optimizes the power efficiency up to 90%+, which enables power saving of around 1.68KWh per day and 613.2KWh per year, compared to general serverboards with 80% power efficiency. All conductor polymer has better electronic conductivity and longer lifetime, without risk of capacitor explosion. All conductor polymer capacitors can reduce energy loss and has better thermal characteristics.

Provide up to 64GB memory capacity for high computing capability The 16 slots are divided into two zones (8-DIMM per zone) to provide better airflow compared with those in a row. Provides two PCI-E Gen2 x16 slots (for high speed Infiniband connections or professional graphic cards) with each support up to 8GB/s bandwidth, which doubles that of PCI-E (1.0) and One PCI-E x8 expansion slot and one PCI-X interface for advanced hardware RAID upgrade. Built in Quad-LAN with a “teaming” technology that integrates four high-speed Gigabit LAN ports into a single one, provides almost four times the transferring bandwidth which provide “fail-over” function, if one or more port fail, the networking connection will not be affected immediately.
